Westpac NZ Cuts Six-Month, One-Year Home Loan Rates

Westpac Banking's (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) New Zealand business cut its six-month and one-year home loan rates to 5.29% per annum and 4.89% per annum advertised special rates, respectively, effective Friday, according to a Thursday release.

Westpac NZ also offers an advertised special three-year rate of 4.99% per annum.

The lender said that it is trimming some term investment rates while retaining leading and joint leading rates across a range of terms.

The bank's Australian shares were off almost 1% in recent Friday trade, while its New Zealand-listed shares fell nearly 2%.
