Tivan (ASX:TVN) said it progressed the development planning for the access road proposed to service the Speewah fluorite project in Western Australia, as it advances a feasibility study, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The project is currently accessed via a historical single lane natural terrain track from Doon Doon, a small community and roadhouse situated adjacent to the Great Northern Highway.
The firm was informed that the traditional owners and native title holders expressed a preference for the revised access road to avoid passing through Liyama Spring and Liyama Gorge, which the current access track passes through.
The company is planning a revised road realignment to avoid the Liyama Spring and Liyama Gorge area and to bypass the Doon Doon community to the south, per the filing.
Tivan's shares slipped 1% in recent Friday trade.
