In Huntington Beach, Calif., protesters stretched for half a mile along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway, yelling "Impeach Trump!" next to flip-flop vendors and soliciting honks from passing convertibles. At the pier, a large group of Trump supporters held lightpost-high poles covered in MAGA flags.

The two sides mostly ignored each other. One woman put her thumbs in her ears and wagged her tongue at a man holding a Trump flag in front of her.
