Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) is "closely monitoring" the probe into the Air India crash that occurred on Thursday as its Jetstar unit uses the same type of Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which is a variant of its 787-9 fleet, The Australian reported Friday, citing a company spokesperson.
Boeing, a US-listed aircraft maker which has been in controversies and probes in recent years due to malfunctioning aircraft, closed nearly 5% down after the crash on Thursday.
