Pratt & Whitney, a business of RTX Corporation, has secured a contract from Dynetics, a Leidos company, to supply TJ150 turbojet engines for the Small Cruise Missile program, known as Black Arrow. The TJ150 engine, known for its compact and high-performance capabilities, is designed to power a variety of autonomous systems and weapons. This contract marks a continuation of a partnership that began with preliminary integration studies in 2023, with the current work starting in April 2025 and running through the first quarter of 2026. The TJ150 engine, already in production, is undergoing continuous improvements to enhance affordability and production flexibility, utilizing additive manufacturing techniques. This development follows a successful guided test flight of the Black Arrow missile, powered by the TJ150, demonstrating the engine's reliability and effectiveness.
