Persimmon plc has signed a contract with CBRE Investment Management and Pinnacle Group to deliver 35 affordable rental homes on the seventh phase of the Wellington Gate development near Wantage, Oxfordshire. This marks the fourth acquisition by CBRE IM and Pinnacle on the site, contributing to a total of 158 affordable homes planned across the development. The homes will be built on the former Grove Airfield site, where Persimmon already holds outline permission for up to 1,500 homes. In addition to housing, Persimmon has developed a primary school and is constructing a secondary school as part of the sustainable community. The company, a five-star housebuilder, is also seeking planning permission to add hundreds more homes to the site.
