Syrah Resources (ASX:SYR) has resumed natural graphite production at its Balama operation in Mozambique, following restored site access and the completion of maintenance and preparation work, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Production will ramp up progressively to restock inventory, and the company will target large-volume breakbulk shipments to markets outside China in the September quarter, the filing said.
The company's force majeure under the Balama Mining Agreement remains in effect pending the restart of shipments and a review of local conditions, the filing added.
