Patronus Resources (ASX:PTN) discovered a new high-grade gold shoot at the Merlin prospect, part of the Cardinia gold project in Western Australia, via a reverse circulation drilling program, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The firm drilled 12 holes for 1,698 meters. Intercepts included 10 meters at 2.10 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 94 meters and 24 meters at 1.16 g/t grade of gold from 61 meters.
Follow-up reverse circulation drilling is scheduled for the third quarter, and metallurgical test work is planned for the fourth quarter.
