0852 GMT - The Bank of England needs greater clarity on the U.K. inflation outlook before resuming interest-rate cuts, Quilter Cheviot's Richard Carter says in a note. U.K. annual headline inflation and annual core inflation eased slightly to 3.4% and 3.5%, respectively, in May. The inflation outlook remains uncertain due to the Israel-Iran conflict, Carter says. "The situation in the Middle East and its potential to drive further energy-related inflation means policymakers will be wary of cutting rates too soon." (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
