Taihan Cable & Solution (KRX:001440) signed a memorandum of understanding with Dublin-based superconducting cable company SuperNode to develop next-generation superconducting cables, the cablemaker said in a Wednesday release.
The agreement aims to enhance power transmission efficiency using SuperNode's polymer-based cable design, which lowers cooling loss and raises installation intervals by more than five times. The companies will collaborate on design, manufacturing, and materials, while exploring joint participation in future cable projects, the release said.
