GE Vernova has announced a new contract to supply, service, and commission 12 of its 6.1 MW-158m onshore wind turbines for Çalık Renewables's Zatriq I & II Wind Farms in Kosovo. This agreement supports Kosovo's initiative to significantly increase its renewable energy capacity by 2030. Initial deliveries for the project are expected to start at the end of 2025, with full operation anticipated by the second half of 2026. Once completed, the wind farms are projected to supply enough energy to power approximately 32,000 households. This deal marks GE Vernova's first foray into the European market beyond Türkiye and underscores the company's commitment to advancing global electrification and decarbonization efforts.
