0942 ET - President Trump's stepped-up immigration enforcement has impacted the U.S. food industry, after authorities staged raids in recent weeks on some agricultural and processing operations. Speaking at the WSJ Global Food Forum in Chicago, Hormel Foods CEO Jim Snee says that the Spam maker relies on a documented immigrant population to staff some of its operations, and though the labor supply overall has improved since the pandemic era, immigrant workers remain an important part of the industry workforce. "Certainly, that will have an impact if we aren't able to find a workable solution," Snee says. (jacob.bunge@wsj.com; @jacobbunge)
