The Real Brokerage Inc. recently released the findings from their May 2025 Agent Survey, highlighting the key priorities and factors influencing real estate agents' decisions when selecting a brokerage. The survey revealed that economic factors, such as commission splits and revenue share, are the primary drivers for 64% of agents. Additionally, company culture and values, as well as technology and tools, significantly influence agents' choices, with 55% and 38% respectively citing these as important. The survey also noted that flexibility in work and equity ownership opportunities are valued by agents. On the client side, personal relationships and referrals were found to be the main reasons clients choose to work with agents, with 89% of agents acknowledging this. Professional reputation and responsiveness were also highlighted as crucial factors. Interestingly, brokerage brand affiliation was deemed less important by clients, with a majority of agents indicating it holds little significance in client decision-making.
