Tech Stocks Likely to Shake Off U.S. Strike on Iran -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
2025/06/23

0019 GMT - The U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities removes an overhang for the market, Wedbush Securities analysts say. Their take after speaking with tech investors is that it wasn't a matter of if the U.S. would strike, but when, Dan Ives and colleagues write in a note. A weakened Iran with no nuclear capacity removes a threat that will be viewed as a positive for the market, and tech stocks in particular, they add. It will take time for the conflict to settle, but the market will view the worst as now in the rear-view mirror. There could naturally be more volatility and headline risk this week, but Wedbush encourages buying tech winners and AI revolution stalwarts such as Nvidia, Palantir, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Tesla on any weakness from geopolitical headlines.
