Acacia Research (ACTG) said Tuesday that Michael Zambito has been named chief financial officer, effective immediately.

Zambito most recently served as a partner in Ernst & Young's EY-Parthenon practice, the company said.

Interim CFO Kirsten Hoover will continue to serve as the company's controller.
