0928 GMT - Shares of semiconductor companies in Europe edge higher on Tuesday after Israel and Iran agreed to a cease-fire. The gains hold even as Israel says Iran violated that cease-fire. Shares of Dutch semiconductor-equipment maker ASML Holding and smaller rival ASM International are up 2% and 2.4%, respectively. German chip maker Infineon Technologies is up 3.1%. STMicroelectronics--which supplies Apple, Samsung Electronics and Tesla--is up 2.4%. The gains reflect rises across major European indexes like Germany's DAX and France's CAC 40. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
