Teledyne Technologies Inc., through its division Teledyne FLIR Defense, announced that its Black Hornet® 4 Personal Reconnaissance System has received approval for inclusion on the Defense Innovation Unit's Blue UAS List. This approval follows the successful completion of the required NDAA and cybersecurity verification process, granting the drone an Authority to Operate. The inclusion on the Blue UAS List allows Teledyne's Black Hornet 4 to be utilized by the Department of Defense and other U.S. government entities, expanding the drone's accessibility to military and federal operators. The Black Hornet 4 was selected from over 35 uncrewed aerial system products during the DIU's 'Blue UAS Refresh' event, highlighting its distinct capabilities in meeting diverse drone system needs. Teledyne FLIR has already supplied over 33,000 Black Hornet drones to military and security forces in more than 45 countries.
