Rubrik Agrees to Acquire Predibase

Rubrik has agreed to acquire Predibase as it looks to accelerate its artificial-intelligence platform into production.

The Palo Alto, Calif., cybersecurity company didn't disclose financial details of the deal, but said on Wednesday that it aims to accelerate agentic-AI adoption from pilot to production at scale.

Rubrik said the acquisition will expand the work to secure and deploy generative-AI applications that it is currently doing with Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, and Google Agentspace.

Behind its decision to acquire the business, Rubrik said Predibase delivers better performance, up to 80% cost savings, and reduced AI-infrastructure complexity over hosting foundation models.
