Walmart (WMT) is piloting "dark stores," which look like retail stores but are closed to the public, in a bid to accelerate deliveries, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The retail giant has opened a dark store in Dallas and intends to add another in Bentonville, Arkansas, the unnamed sources told the news outlet. Additional locations are also under consideration, according to the report.

Walmart did not immediately respond to MT Newswires request for comment.
