Lockheed Martin Corporation, in collaboration with the Missile Defense Agency, has announced successful scientific research results from Flight Test Other-26a (FTX-26a). The test demonstrated the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR)'s ability to detect, track, and discriminate a live ballistic missile threat in a complex environment. This advancement is considered a significant enhancement to homeland defense capabilities, offering a critical asset for deterrence. Conducted over the north Pacific, the LRDR effectively tracked an air-launched threat and shared data with Command and Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC), supporting a simulated Ground-Based Midcourse Defense $(GMD.AU)$ engagement. The results from this test have already been presented.
