Bougainville Copper Limited (BCL) and the Autonomous Bougainville Government $(ABG)$ have provided an update on the Panguna project to local landowners. The session took place at the Panguna Catholic Church and included representatives from the Barapang, Kurabang, Basikang, Bakoringku, and Mantaa Clans. BCL's CEO, Johnny Auna, highlighted the company's ongoing efforts to find a suitable mining partner for the Panguna mine. ABG President Ishmael Toroama stressed the importance of cooperation among landowners, the ABG, and BCL for this critical project. BCL has engaged Grant Samuel as project financial advisers to explore potential mining partnerships. The company is also in the process of completing Landowner Identification and Social Mapping studies. The updates were well received by the landowners, who are eager to see progress on the ground.
