General Dynamics' information technology unit received a task order worth $580 million to continue supporting security systems for U.S. Army bases.

The aerospace and defense company said Thursday the systems include radars, cameras and sensors across the world, including at high-threat locations.

The systems aim to protect the U.S. Army unauthorized access, surveillance, drone activity and cyberattacks, the company said.

General Dynamics received the award in May, and it includes a one-year base period and four option years.

The company will also leverage its Cove AI Ops Digital Accelerator to improve logistics support, streamline processes and reduce overall operating costs, it said.
