Micron Technology (MU) reported fiscal Q3 non-GAAP net income late Wednesday of $1.91 per diluted share, up from $0.62 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.60.
Revenue for the quarter ended May 29 was $9.3 billion, up from $6.81 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $8.86 billion.
For Q4, the chipmaker is projecting non-GAAP EPS of $2.35 to $2.65 on revenue of $10.4 billion to $11 billion.
Analysts are looking for $2.03 and $9.9 billion, respectively.
Micron Tech shares recently were up almost 4% in after-hours activity.
