Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) will use artificial intelligence-powered robots developed by cyber intelligence firm Apate.ai to engage with scammers in real time and dismantle scam operations, according to a Friday statement by the bank.

The robots will gather intelligence that is fed directly into the bank's scam prevention systems to identify emerging scam trends, the bank said.
