Lantronix (LTRX) said Thursday it has signed a multi-year agreement with a US mobile network operator to digitally monitor more than 50,000 backup power systems at wireless cell sites nationwide.

The deployment will use Lantronix's Edge gateways and cloud-based software to enable real-time monitoring, the company said.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Lantronix shares were nearly 5% higher in recent premarket trading.
