Kellanova's (K) pending acquisition by Mars has cleared the antitrust review of the US Federal Trade Commission, the two companies said late Wednesday.

The companies said they expect the transaction to close toward the end of the year, based on the current status of the ongoing antitrust review by the European Commission.
