Sidus Space (SIDU) said Monday it has collaborated with VORAGO Technologies to test and integrate a new radiation-hardened microcontroller, as part of VORAGO's Alpha Customer Program.
The new MCU is built to operate in harsh environments and will be used in future Sidus missions across government and commercial sectors, the company added.
Sidus has used VORAGO's MCUs before but will now help test and integrate their latest model before its official release later this year. Sidus will get early access to development tools, engineering samples, and direct support. The goal is to refine the technology and prepare it for full use by 2026, according to the statement.
Shares of Sidus Space rose past 6% in recent trading activity.
