JAKARTA, June 29 (Reuters) - A lithium-ion battery plant by Indonesia Battery Corporation $(IBC.AU)$ and China's battery giant Contemporary Amperex Technology Co $(CATL.UK)$ is expected to be in operation at the end of 2026 with initial capacity of 6.9 gigawatt hours, an Indonesian official said on Sunday.
The plant's total capacity is expected to be increased to up to 15 GWh, energy ministry spokeswoman Dwi Anggia told Reuters, adding the output will be sold to both domestic and overseas markets.
