Newsmax (NMAX) said Monday it will be added to the Russell 2000 Index, effective from Monday's opening bell.

The company said its inclusion in the index, as well as the Russell 3000 Index, is part of FTSE Russell's annual reconstitution.

Newsmax shares were up 2.6% in recent premarket activity.
