Kalina Power (ASX:KPO) said it continued to advance projects to provide electricity to artificial intelligence data centers in the June quarter, securing five sites with the potential to generate up to around 1,700 megawatts in total, according to a Friday Australian Securities Exchange filing.
The company's Canadian unit, KALiNA Distributed Power, entered into a transfer agreement setting out the terms of a proposed transfer to a third party, the filing said. Under the terms, the firm received a non-refundable deposit of CA$1 million.
The company continued discussions with Crusoe regarding prioritization of site locations for data centers, additional lands, scope of the projects, and timelines for commercial development, per the filing.
It also said the sale of non-core project sites progressed during the period, including the Clairmont Energy Park, the Gilby Energy Park, and the Saddle Hills Energy Park.
