Organic Recycling Systems Ltd (BOM:543997) has launched a biological carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (BioCCUS) research platform in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and IIT Kharagpur, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

The parties have entered into a memorandum of understanding to work on the initiative, which will develop ways of transforming CO₂ emissions from biogas plants into biofuels and biochemicals.

The BioCCUS research platform will offer solutions on capturing CO₂, generating bio-CNG, producing value-added chemicals, and utilizing digestate as biofertilizer.
