0834 ET - Demand for RVs appears to be shifting more in favor of lower-priced models than premium offerings, a potentially negative development for Winnebago Industries, D.A. Davidson's Griffin Bryan says in a research note. The analyst, speaking with dealers following mixed results from Winnebago and Thor Industries, found that dealers feel that further destocking of higher-priced units is needed with little intention of restocking for the foreseeable future. "We heard from several dealers that specifically within motorized, consumers are opting for lower contented units within Class A, B, and C. We view this as a negative development for Winnebago, as its products are largely seen as more premium in nature with much higher price tags vs. Thor," says Bryan. (denny.jacob@wsj.com; @pennedbyden)
