Edel SE & Co. KGaA has acquired the remaining shares in Kontor Records GmbH, becoming the sole shareholder of the internationally successful music label. The shares were purchased from former co-owners H.P. Baxxter of Scooter and Jens Thele, who also serves as managing director of Kontor Records, Kontor New Media, and Scooter's manager. This acquisition is part of a long-term strategy to integrate more closely with Kontor New Media, aiming to leverage synergies within the Edel Group, strengthen innovation potential, and optimize cross-company processes. Kontor Records will continue its collaboration with the band Scooter and Sheffield Communications Publishing. Key personnel changes include Jan Benkmann appointed as General Manager Marketing and A&R of Kontor Records, and Frank-Peter Leffler taking on the role of General Manager at Kontor New Media.
