SKY Perfect JSAT Holdings (TYO:9412) reported a net loss of 6,702 subscribers to its multichannel pay TV services in June, with 35,246 new sign-ups and 41,948 cancellations, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The total number of pay TV subscribers stood at 2.6 million as of end-June, including 2 million for the basic SKY PerfecTV! service and 632,536 for its Premium Service.
The company added 8,150 new households to its optical fiber-based re-transmission service, bringing that total to 2.9 million. The churn rate for pay TV subscribers was 1.6% for the month.
