Digital mapping company CE Info Systems (NSE:MAPMYINDIA, BOM:543425), locally known as MapmyIndia, has launched India's first-ever digital address system by integrating its Mappls app with India Post's DIGIPIN service, according to a Monday release filed with the Indian bourses.
DIGIPIN is a 10-character code backed by India Post, offering 3.8m x 3.8m location accuracy without storing personal data, according to the release.
The integration allows users to generate unique, precise digital postal codes for any address across the country, the company said in the release.
The collaboration enables seamless navigation, delivery, and public service access-even in remote locations, the release said.
