Pfizer's (PFE) Chief Corporate Officer Sally Susman will leave the company at the end of the year, Chief Executive Albert Bourla announced through a LinkedIn post on Tuesday.

"As we continue to deliver results, my dear friend and longtime colleague, Sally Susman, and I have decided to integrate the critical capabilities of our Corporate Affairs function into the Pfizer organizations where partnerships already exist. Sally will help ensure a smooth transition," Bourla wrote.

The company does not plan to replace Susman as chief corporate affairs officer. Amy Rose, VP of corporate communications, will lead communications at Pfizer, reporting to the office of the chairman as part of a broader streamlining at Pfizer, PRWeek reported.

Several other executives, including Ed Haranga, chief communications officer and Caroline Roan, head of global health and social impact will also leave the company, PRWeek said.

Areas of responsibility previously under corporate affairs will move under other parts of the company as part of the streamlining, such as investor relations to the office of the CFO and U.S. and international government affairs and policy under their respective regional divisions, PRWeek said.
