Northern Dynasty Minerals shares rose 28% in premarket activity Monday after the company and its US subsidiary Pebble Limited Partnership said Friday that they were negotiating with the Environmental Protection Agency a possible settlement related to the agency's veto of the Pebble project in Alaska.
Citing a July 3 court filing by the EPA, the company said agency officials "remain open to reconsideration" and a potential agreement on the next steps could be reached within two weeks.
