ATS said Monday that Chief Executive Andrew Hider plans to step down from his role to pursue new leadership opportunities at healthcare company Baxter International.
The Canadian advanced manufacturing systems company said that Hider won't run for re-election to the board at the upcoming annual general meeting held on Aug. 7.
Hider, who has held the CEO position at ATS since 2017, was appointed to the board of medtech company Baxter, based out of Deerfield, Illinois. He is expected to take the reins no later than the start of September, Baxter said Monday.
Ryan McLeod, ATS' chief financial officer, has been appointed to take over the CEO role on an interim basis while the company searches for a permanent candidate to take over.
McLeod has held the CFO position since 2020.
