Simply Good Foods reported an increase in fiscal third-quarter revenue, boosted by the inclusion of OWYN, a protein-drink brand it bought last year.

The Denver-based packaged-foods company on Thursday posted third-quarter net income of $41.1 million, or 40 cents a share, down from $41.4 million, or 41 cents per share, in the same quarter a year prior.

Adjusted earnings were 51 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected 50 cents a share.

The company reported $381 million in sales, up from $334.8 million a year prior. Wall Street expected $381.7 million for the quarter.

Simply Good Foods said $33.6 million of its sales came from OWYN, which it acquired in June 2024.

The company narrowed its guidance for fiscal year 2025, citing pressure on its Atkins weight-loss brand. It predicted 8.5% to 9.5% sales growth, compared with 8.5% to 10.5% in its previous guidance, and 4% to 5% growth in adjusted EBITDA, compared with the 4% to 6% it had previously forecasted.
