Cao Zhi-an has resigned as Harbin Electric's (HKG:1133) chairman and an executive director, a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
Cao stepped down due to a reassignment of job positions, according to the power equipment manufacturer and seller.
Following Cao's resignation, the number of board members has temporarily fallen to the required threshold. The firm will fill the vacancy as soon as possible.
The firm, on the same day, named Huang Wei as its new chairman. Huang resigned as president of the company to take on his new role.
The company named Zhang Lian-bin as a senior vice-president on the same day, and will fill the slot of president soon.
Zhang is currently a standing member of the company's party committee, as well as deputy general manager and a standing member of the party committee of Harbin Electric Corporation, according to a separate filing.
