0357 GMT - Samsung Electronics is likely to see a strong earnings rebound in 3Q from the previous quarter, Nomura analysts say in a note. Nomura expects the South Korean technology giant's operating profit to reach 9 trillion won for the July-September quarter. That would be up 96% from the 4.6 trillion won in 2Q estimated by the company. Its shipments of high-bandwidth memory 3E products to clients, except Nvidia, have resumed since late June and its one-time business expenses will likely decrease, they say. They expect Samsung to start shipping more advanced HBM4 products to Nvidia in 1Q 2026. Samsung's return on equity is likely to come in at 8% this year, they add. (kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com)
