The resort has been awarded the prestigious Leave No Trace Gold Standard Hospitality Designation, recognizing its exemplary practices in outdoor ethics and environmental education. In a continued effort to maintain the area's natural beauty, Zephyr Cove Resort led a successful July Fourth cleanup, significantly reducing litter on the beaches. The initiative saw the participation of 72 volunteers and resulted in the removal of over 85 pounds of litter, marking a substantial reduction from previous years. This achievement aligns with the Tahoe Blue Beach program's "Three E's" framework, focusing on education, engineering, and enforcement of responsible recreation practices.
