Textron Aviation Inc., a subsidiary of Textron Inc., has announced a new regulatory approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for AeroMech's Supplemental Type Certificate $(STC)$ for Starlink high-speed internet connectivity. This approval enables the installation of Starlink's advanced in-flight internet services on Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ aircraft. The technology leverages Starlink's constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites, ensuring more reliable internet connectivity across various terrains, including remote areas where traditional Wi-Fi services might be unavailable. Customers can opt for this upgrade at designated Textron Aviation Service Centers in North America and select international locations.
