Teradyne's (TER) Universal Robots unit is supplying robotic arms for Amazon's (AMZN) new warehouse robot, Vulcan, Hunterbrook Media reported Thursday, citing photos and videos from Amazon and CNBC.

Vulcan is reportedly designed to automate tasks like picking and stowing, using advanced touch sensitivity for better precision, according to the report

Amazon has not publicly named the supplier, but photos and video footage show that the arms are made by Teradyne's Denmark-based Universal Robots unit, the report said.

The robotic arms also use grippers from Robotiq, a company known for making tools compatible with Universal Robots equipment, according to Hunterbook Media.

Hunterbrook said it estimates the Amazon project could represent a "$400 million payday" for Teradyne as the e-commerce giant aims to automate operations for the 14 billion items it processes each year.

Teradyne and Amazon did not immediately respond to requests for a comment from MT Newswires.

Teradyne shares were up 6.3% in recent trading.
