Adelong Gold (ASX:ADG) said sampling results of previous diamond drill holes from the Comet discovery at its Lauriston gold project in Victoria confirmed gold-antimony mineralization, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The results included high-grade antimony intercepts, including one of 0.89 meters at 2.24% grade of antimony and 1 gram per tonne grade of gold from 177.24 meters. It added that antimony veining coincides with gold mineralization, reinforcing the epizonal gold-antimony system model.
The firm plans to expand systematic antimony sampling across the Comet discovery and the broader Comet-Trojan structural corridor, targeting areas where stibnite veining was previously logged but not assayed.
