Iberdrola SA, in partnership with Masdar, announced a landmark €5.2 billion investment in the UK offshore wind sector, marking the largest transaction of its kind in the decade. The joint venture will focus on the East Anglia THREE project, which boasts a capacity of 1.4 GW. Each company will hold a 50% stake and share governance responsibilities. Additionally, the partners celebrated the full energization of the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in Germany, a 476 MW project that will supply renewable energy to approximately 475,000 households. This collaboration is part of Iberdrola's strategic focus on expanding its presence in the UK and supporting Germany's clean energy ambitions. The project is expected to create over 2,300 jobs during construction and 100 long-term roles, with revenue secured through a 15-year Contract for Difference and a Power Purchase Agreement with Amazon.
