WMG (KLSE:WMG) is proposing to change its name from "WMG Holdings Bhd." to "BEDI Berhad", according to a Thursday Malaysian bourse filing.

Shares slid over 1% recently on Friday.

The proposed name change is subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company at the upcoming annual meeting, it said.
