European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were tracking lower late Wednesday morning, declining 0.75% to 1,470.43 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.
From continental Europe, the gainers were led by Grifols (GRFS) and argenx (ARGX), which rose 4.2% and 2.5% respectively. They were followed by internet advertising firm Criteo (CRTO), which was up 2%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by semiconductor company Sequans Communications (SQNS) and biopharmaceutical firm Cellectis (CLLS), which tumbled 15% and 7.1% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical firm DBV Technologies (DBVT) and internet browser firm Opera (OPRA), which were down 4.5% and 1.2% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by Trinity Biotech (TRIB) and Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC), which advanced 2.8% and 2.7% respectively. They were followed by Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP) and Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which increased 2.2% and 1.8% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by Biodexa Pharmaceuticals (BDRX) and Silence Therapeutics (SLN), which lost 7.6% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by insurance firm Prudential (PUK) and communications company WPP (WPP), which were off 0.9% and 0.7% respectively.
