Trek Metals (ASX:TKM) found high-grade gold mineralization during recent reverse circulation drilling at its Christmas Creek project's Martin Prospect in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to four meters at 14.18 grams per tonne grade of gold from 43 meters, including two meters at 27.95 g/t gold.
Results extend the zone of high-grade mineralisation intersected last year, the filing added.
The company said its drilling at the project will test numerous targets in the coming weeks, including Martin, Turner, Zahn, and Coogan-Brockhurst.
Diamond drilling has also now commenced at Martin prospect, targeting reverse circulation intercepts to obtain detailed structural information on the orientation and controls on the mineralization, assisting with optimising follow-up drilling, the filing added.
