1223 ET - The U.S. fitness industry is getting pumped as gyms become a go-to destination for Gen Z and Millennials, Jefferies analysts say in a note. The groups make up more than 65% of gym-goers as many opt to hit the gym over pulling together an expensive home set-up. Gen Z gym-goers have been up 35% over the past decade, and most of them spend under $69 a month on fees, the note says. Planet Fitness has reeled in even more Gen Z gym-goers by releasing its annual summer pass in June, letting high schoolers hit all of its locations for free. (natalie.weger@wsj.com; @NatalieWeger)
